But within that mountain of numbers, there is one figure that shatters any comparison: 41 hat-tricks by Leo Messi.

Messi, in another galaxy

It is no exaggeration. The Argentine's goal-scoring record at Camp Nou and away converts what would be a lifetime achievement for any other player into modest figures. While Messi has 41 hat-tricks, those next on the historical Barça list—Paulino Alcántara, Ladislao Kubala, Josep Samitier and Evaristo—barely reach ten each.

The first of those 41 came on 10 March 2007, when Messi scored three against Real Madrid at Camp Nou. The last he added was against Mallorca in December 2019, also in front of his own fans. Between them, a symphony of goals that makes the Argentine a phenomenon without equal in the club's history.

According to mundodeportivo.com, the teams that suffered Leo's three-goal inspiration most often were Atlético Madrid, Deportivo, Valencia and Sevilla—three occasions each—while Real Madrid conceded two hat-tricks against him, the same as Espanyol. The Brazilian winger has added a total of three hat-tricks to his Barça record. Besides the one against Sevilla, he scored three in 2024 against Valladolid in the league and another three against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, also at home.

Just a month before Raphinha's, Lamine Yamal had scored his first professional hat-trick with Barça, punishing Villarreal with a 4-1 at Camp Nou. A fact that speaks volumes about the Barça academy: the next generation is already making its mark in the historical records.

Parsons: the missing link

Going back to the origins, John Parsons remains a forgotten reference. That 10 February 1901 was groundbreaking, and the same year he achieved another hat-trick, though it would be the last of his Barça career.
